Singular for Slack

Singular for Slack brings your marketing measurement data into the channels where your team already works. Ask a question and get the answer from your own Singular data. Send scheduled checks and data-connector alerts to the people who need them, without anyone opening a dashboard.

The problem it solves

Marketing data usually sits one tab away from the conversation about it. Someone asks how a network performed last week, and answering means leaving the channel, building a report and pasting a screenshot back. Meanwhile a broken data connector or a sudden drop in installs goes unnoticed until somebody happens to look. Singular for Slack closes both gaps.

Ask questions, get answers in the channel

Mention @Singular with a question in plain language. The assistant acknowledges it, works through it, and answers in a thread.

Asking @Singular for the top 5 ad networks by spend, and the answer with a table

The answer arrives as it is written, shows the steps the assistant took along the way, previews any table, chart or KPI it produced, and links to the full conversation in Singular where the real chart and the downloadable report live.

Reply in the same thread without mentioning the app and the conversation simply continues, so a follow-up is as short as "now show the same by installs".

An untagged follow-up in the same thread, answered with an installs table

Each person links their own Slack account once, so the assistant always answers with the data that person's Singular permissions allow - never someone else's.

Send scheduled checks to a channel

A monitor is a question you save in Singular and the agent checks on a schedule: hourly, daily, or on chosen days of the week. Connect one to a Slack channel and the team hears about a result as soon as the agent finds it.

Confirmation in Slack that a Singular monitor is connected to the channel

A check flags only what changed since the previous one, so a quiet channel means the agent looked and found nothing worth reporting.

Stay ahead of data problems

Connect Slack from the Data Connectors page and Singular sends a daily update on your connectors: which need attention, which are still updating, and which finished. Anything that needs fixing carries a button that opens it directly in Singular.

How to install

Installing starts inside Singular rather than from an Add to Slack button, because connecting a workspace binds it to your Singular account.

  1. Sign in to Singular at app.singular.net.
  2. Open the AI assistant and choose Connect Slack. A workspace administrator approves the app in Slack. This connects the workspace to your Singular account, and Singular confirms it with the next step: mention @Singular in any channel to ask a question.
  3. Each teammate opens the assistant and chooses Connect my Slack once, so answers come back with their own data access.
  4. Invite the app to a channel with /invite @Singular, then mention it with a question.
  5. For alerts: open a monitor in your watchlist and choose Send monitor alerts to a Slack channel, or connect Slack from the Data Connectors page for the daily connector update.

What you need

  • A Singular account. Singular for Slack is included with your subscription at no extra cost.
  • Singular AI enabled on your account for the assistant. Monitor alerts and data-connector alerts do not require it.
  • Permission to install apps in your Slack workspace, for the person doing step 2.

Privacy and data

The assistant reads the messages that mention it and the replies in threads it has already answered in. It does not read channels or conversations it has not been added to. Answers are limited to the data the person asking can already see in Singular, and records of mentions and threads are deleted after 30 days.

For how Singular handles your data, see the Singular privacy policy.
