Special Setup Instructions

Completions vs. installs

In the new version of the data connector, the "Installs" metric in Singular is based on IronSource's "installs" metric, and there is no default metric that is based on IronSource's "completions". However, you can track IronSource's completions by creating a conversion event in Singular.

To create a conversion event:

  1. In Singular, go to Settings > Events. If you have both Custom Events and Conversion Events tabs, select the Conversion Events tab.
  2. Click New Event.
  3. In the IronSource dropdown, select "completions".

The next day, when Singular pulls daily data for your account, it will pull completions as well.

  4. After the new event is populated with some data, run a report in the Reports page, and choose the conversion event you created from Events dropdown.

Ironsource Cost Reporting

Ironsource historically reports installs and cost based on MMP data. With the introduction of SKAN and other hybrid measurement methods they have introduced the concept of “billable installs” and their cost is reflected based on their new modeled installs.

Their cost API offers different granularities - they support date, app, os, campaign, country. To view their modeled installs and reported cost you’ll need to take the following steps:

  1. Make sure you have an Ironsource data connector set up
  2. Head to Settings> Events
  3. Set up a new conversion event (legacy accounts can set up an event)
    1. Find the ironsource source
    2. Select any of the billable metrics and/or the cost event
    3. Hit save

Once this is set up you’ll see the relevant configured billable metrics in your reports. Keep in mind it’s not the same granularity as regular Ironsource data, so if you add a granularity that is not supported you will end up with two rows of data. There will not be any cohort data- only the cohort period: Actual is available.
