Overview

Singular’s Web-to-App attribution solution empowers marketers to run web campaigns that drive app installs across Mobile, PC, and Console platforms. Leveraging Singular’s integration with Partner Conversion APIs, app installs and post-install events (such as in-app or in-game actions) are seamlessly sent for in-platform optimization, enabling more effective campaign performance and ROI maximization.

Web-to-App Integration Options

Web-to-App Forwarding: (Singular Web Attribution WebSDK Required)

This flow, referred to as Web-to-App (W2A) Attribution in Singular, tracks web campaigns where users are redirected to a landing page followed by a user clicking a CTA link on the landing page to install your app.

How it Works:

  • Web SDK Tracking: Singular’s Web SDK tracks the visit to the landing page.
  • CTA Integration: The landing page includes Singular’s Mobile Web-to-App link behind the CTA. When clicked, users are redirected to the app store for download and installation.

Direct to Landing Page: (Singular WebSDK NOT Required)

In this flow, web campaigns send users directly to a landing page on the website where the Singular WebSDK is NOT itegrated and the user can take further action to download the app or game.

How it Works:

  • Web Ad Integration: The Web Ad includes a Singular Link designed for a Mobile/PC/Console App. When clicked, users are redirected to the landing page as defined in the Singular Link configuration. This allows Singular to capture a Mobile, PC, or Console App click. The user then takes further action on the website to download and install the App. When the User opens the Mobile/PC/Console App, Singular will be able to attribute to the click from the Web Campaign.

  • No Singular WebSDK Required: A Singular Link click is captured directly from the Web Campaign before redirection to the landing page on the website.
  • Direct Attribution: Singular attributes installs directly to the Singular link click, which includes partner click IDs for forwarding in Conversion API integrations.
Direct to Store: (Singular WebSDK NOT Required)

In this flow, web campaigns send users directly to the app store (mobile, PC, or console) to download the app or game.

How it Works:

  • Web Ad Integration: The Web Ad includes a Singular Link designed for PC/Console. When clicked, users are redirected to the app store for download and installation.

Key Benefits:

  • No Landing Page Required: Users are taken straight to the store, simplifying the user journey.
  • Direct Attribution: Singular attributes installs directly to the Singular link click, which includes partner click IDs for forwarding in Conversion API integrations.

Note: When targeting mobile installs, it's best to create separate web campaigns for iOS and Android to optimize performance for each platform.

Partner Conversion API Integration for Web Campaign Optimization

Singular’s Web-to-App attribution captures web click IDs, which can be forwarded to Ad Network Partner Conversion APIs during an app install and post-install events to optimize web campaigns. Additional attributes, such as hashed PII, can also be sent for partner attribution accuracy and optimization.

Each Partner Integration Guide provides detailed instructions on configuring partner settings in Singular, as well as the necessary web campaign and conversion event setup within the partner platforms.
