How to set data connectors alerts?

Keep your finger on the pulse of your data and quickly address any potential data disruptions!

Singular’s new Data Connector Alerts, sends you real-time email notifications whenever there are data delays or login issues for any of your data connectors.

 

Data Connector Alert types

There are two types of alerts:

Data Delay Alerts To notify you when there is a delay in data ingestion from any of your data connectors.
Login Issues Alerts To inform you when there are login failures or access restrictions for any of your data connectors

Global vs. Personalized Alerts

Data Alerts offers two options for configuring email alert notifications:

Global Alerts

Every email address you add will receive all alert notifications, regardless of the data connector involved. This is a convenient option for keeping a general group of users informed about overall data health.

Personalized Alerts

Personalized alerts allow you to tailor notifications to specific data connectors. This ensures that only relevant alerts are sent to appropriate recipients.

Setting up personalized alerts:

  1. Go to Settings → Data Connectors and find the bell icon (:bell:) for the relevant data connector
  2. Add new email address / remove existing address from data delays / logging issues input lines
  3. Click “Save” 

From now on, these emails will receive notifications on this data connector

Setting up Global alerts

  1. Go to Automation → Alerts → Data connector alerts
  2. Add new email address / remove existing address from data delays / logging issues input lines
    Remember - email which has been removed from one of the data connectors, will no longer considered as “Global”
  3. Click “Save”
  4. From now on, these emails will receive notifications for ALL data connectors

Reviewing your settings

  1. Go to Automation → Alerts → Data connector alerts
  2. The table below provides an overview of the alerts that have been set up for all
